An Appalachian Summer Festival is Appalachian State University’s month long celebration of music, dance, theatre, and film attended by more than 25,000 people. The festival is named one of the “top 20 events in the Southeast” by the Southeast Tourism Society. The 2008 festival features outstanding entertainment including The Charlie Daniels Band, Judy Collins, Ricky Scaggs, and Phoebe Snow.
