A walk through beautiful mountain trails near Chetola Resort is serene and beautiful but there’s something about meandering through these trails on horseback that makes for a spectacular and memorable mountain experience.
Enjoy a horseback riding adventure through the scenic countryside of nearby Blue Ridge Mountain Club while viewing cascading waters, tree-lined canopies and sweeping panoramics of mountain peaks and valleys.
Your trail companion is a locally born and raised “cowboy” who prides himself on his vast knowledge of local history. Enjoy the peace and quiet and fresh mountain air as you meander along the gentle trails with your experienced guide.
While on your 2, 3, or 4 hour ride, your riding companion will make sure that you don’t miss points of interest and will gladly answer any questions you may have.
This package is available year round so you can enjoy brilliant fall colors, crisp winter snow rides, beautiful spring flowers or the cooler mountain temperatures in summer.
Trips are limited to a maximum of 4 guests to assure that you receive a fun, relaxing ride that is tailored specifically for your party.
Additional Information
- No horseback riding experience is necessary.
- Riders must be 12 and older.
- Recommended riding apparel – boots or sturdy shoes (no sandals or open toe shoes), jacket , long pants.
- Helmets provided if requested.
- Chetola can provide box lunches for your ride. Please inquire at time of booking.

Accommodations for this package are at a reduced rate. Package includes a two night stay with two, three or four hours of horseback riding. Package prices are person based on double occupancy.
