The Manor House Estate served as the exquisite residence of J. Luther Snyder, the renowned owner of Chetola. Snyder acquired the Chetola Estate in 1926 and was affectionately known as "the Coca Cola King of the Carolinas." His wife frequently hosted lavish celebrations and parties that became the talk of Blowing Rock during the 1930s and 1940s.
On July 28, 2012, Chetola proudly unveiled Timberlake’s Restaurant within the historic estate. This establishment draws inspiration from the culinary preferences of the world-renowned North Carolina artist and designer, Bob Timberlake. The restaurant comprises three distinct dining rooms, an intimate wine room, and offers waterfront dining on the Patio. Welcoming guests just inside the main entrance is the charming and tastefully adorned Headwaters Pub.
